3. Restore checks and balance to the three branches of government.
4. Eliminate special interest group use of money to infuence legislation and elections.
5. Restore rights to the family concerning the well-being of the children.
6. Make education compulsory through state law, and duo-faceted. Trades education for everyone, coupled with academic pursuits in later years.
7. Transform the judicial system to mete out quick and fair punishment. Therein lies the secret to crime determent.(Thus eliminating the argument for capital punishment.)
8. Move toward involving national politics and resources in only three pursuits: National security, accidental and old age security of the citizenry, and trade relations with other countries.
9. Make compulsory through state law, every citizen’s responsibility to at least provide for themselves and those they are guardian of.
10. Force penal systems to become self sustaining.
11. Create penalties for failure to vote.
11-A. Create systems whereby citizens can gain additional voting weight, through recognition of accomplishments in civic service, religion, education, business, military and other endeavors.
12. Realign the executive, legislative, and judicial to refect these new realities.
13. Empower the people with control and use of taxes.
14. Rearrange Home Land Security into two separate and equal entities, Department of War and Department of Peace
15. Outlaw on the world stage all nuclear weapons, and destroy all such weapons in existence.
16. R and D the rail system to be competitive with the airlines for speed and reliability.
17. Outlaw Presidential signing statements that undermine the rule of law.
18. Create an entirely new way of gleaning the most competent and trustworthy people as leaders.
Much can be said on this subject. Maybe sometime later.

Hi Ol Buddy,
No one has ever asked me for my opinions, and programs I would like to see furthered, should I ever run for president of the United States Though it’s been some time since you solicited an opinion from your readers- I’ll jump on it anyway.
First, let me state that if I were really being considered as a contender, I would be able to say none or very little of what I’m about to suggest. Second, I realize the simplistic and naive assumptions I make here, and the improbability of implementing any of it.
Note: It’s been some time since I wrote this stuff down. I realize the list does not stop at # 18 but you didn’t ask for a treatise after all.
