These articles are very interesting to me personally. Hank Schmidt is my father. I was born in Moab and grew up in the NPS at Sequoia/Kings Canyon, Sitka and Glacier Bay. When my father transferred to Big Bend, I worked at Cedar Breaks one summer as a SCA volunteer. I met my husband at Isle Royale National Park in Michigan, and the “beat goes on.” We live in Maine where Paul’s last assignment was at Acadia National Park.
