In the 40s and 50s, the entrance to Arches National Monument was via a rough dirt track that began near Seven Mile Canyon, off the old US 160 (now 191), and wound its way to the park road near Balanced Rock. An informational sign at the junction with 160 gave directions and distances to nearby attractions. I found this remnant in an Arches dump in the 1980s…JS
