Herb Ringer labeled this photograph a "ski chalet" in 1952.  Today it might be called "servants' 
quarters" (although we doubt they could afford the rent.)
Post-war Aspen, Colorado was in the early stages of transformation to a New West Community, now best 
described as a town where the "billionaires chased the millionaires down the hill."
This Aspen motel was considered "luxury" 
back in the 50s.
